This project partners Howard University student-athletes with Cardozo Middle School to provide basketball clinics, tutoring support, and hands-on mentorship for local youth. The program introduces an incentive-based points system designed to address truancy by rewarding students for strong attendance and engagement. Students can earn exclusive experiences such as attending Howard basketball games, sitting on the team bench, serving as a game announcer, watching a team practice, and receiving Howard gear. Through sports, academics, and consistent mentorship, the project aims to motivate middle school students and strengthen their connection to education.
