ABOUT THIS PROJECT

In Princeton, NJ, Celia implemented a structured mentorship program, creating a nurturing environment that not only supports students academically but also helps them build confidence, develop essential life skills, and explore future career opportunities. The primary goal of this project is to connect high school students with mentors who can provide guidance and support throughout the academic year. We focused on students who have been identified by school counselors as needing additional support. Each mentor worked with their assigned mentee to create a personalized development plan that encompasses academic goals, career exploration, and personal growth.

CELIA'S WHY

To be an Engaged Athlete Fellow, to me, means that I can help create a nurturing environment that not only supports students academically but also helps them build confidence, develop essential life skills, and explore future career opportunities. This initiative is not just about providing guidance; it’s about investing in the future of our community by ensuring that all students have access to the support they need to thrive.
