Athletes for Access is a student-athlete - led initiative designed to expand youth sports access and civic engagement in the Ann Arbor area. The project brings University of Michigan student-athletes together to host free, multi-sport clinics for students in grades K–8 across Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Saline. Through hands-on skill building and team-based activities, young athletes are introduced to new sports, leadership skills, and the value of collaboration. For middle-school participants, the program also highlights how athletic dedication can open doors to college opportunities and scholarships. Athletes for Access creates a space where athletic mentorship and community empowerment come together to inspire the next generation.
