ABOUT THIS PROJECT

My project aims to get Cal student athletes out to support recess blocks at juvenile centers in San Francisco and to educate them on what is going on in the Bay Area and how they can help. This culminates in a end of semester panel at the SF location with student athletes leaders.

DYLAN'S WHY

My why for participating in this fellowship comes from my coursework at Berkeley, specifically classes with Dr Nikki Jones and Jonathon Simon. Their insight on policing in society and the lasting effects of slavery and redlining made me want to get involved in any way possible. To me, being an engaged athlete fellow means going out into the community a to support it in a meaningful and impactful way.
