ABOUT THIS PROJECT

My project delivered recruiting education through two Zoom sessions featuring guest speakers with firsthand experience in college athletics and the recruiting process. These sessions would break down timelines, communication strategies, and eligibility requirements for student-athletes who lack access to reliable guidance. By making recruiting knowledge accessible and interactive, the project would help create more equitable pathways to college sports in my community.

JOYE'S WHY

My “why” is to help student-athletes who lack access to networks, information, and guidance navigate the recruiting process with clarity and confidence. Being an Engaged Athlete Fellow means using my knowledge and experience to demystify recruiting and create more equitable pathways to college athletics.
