ABOUT THIS PROJECT
My project brought soccer to minority youth while intentionally promoting positive exercise habits for all young people. By creating accessible opportunities to play and move, it helps build confidence, discipline, and lifelong foundations for physical and mental health. The impact extends beyond sport by fostering community, consistency, and a culture of movement at an early age.
NYLAH'S WHY
My why for participating in the fellowship is to grow beyond performance and use my voice, influence, and movement to create impact off the field. Being an Engaged Athlete Fellow means recognizing that my role as an athlete extends into service, leadership, and advocacy within my community. It represents using my platform with intention to inspire, educate, and move others toward something greater than sport.
