Sabrina Skyers’ Engaged Athlete Fellowship project focuses on expanding youth development opportunities through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana or the 18th Ward New Orleans. Her project aims to strengthen access to sports programming, mentorship, and leadership development for local youth by building sustainable relationships between community organizations and student-athletes. Sabrina will work closely with staff to identify current needs, co-create new ideas for programming, and support ongoing initiatives that empower young athletes. Through this collaboration, she hopes to enhance youth engagement, promote positive development, and create long-term impact within New Orleans communities.
