ABOUT THIS PROJECT

I ran a volleyball camp for middle school students at Driscoll School in Brookline to teach fundamental skills and foster a love of the sport. The camp would provide mentorship and athletic opportunities for young athletes. This project would help students build confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits through volleyball.

AMELIA'S WHY

As a student-athlete, I've experienced firsthand how sports can be a platform for positive change, and I want to use that platform intentionally. This fellowship means the opportunity to translate the discipline and teamwork I've developed on the court into meaningful community impact. Being an Engaged Athlete Fellow represents a commitment to leading beyond competition showing younger athletes that our influence extends far beyond the game.
